Product Description

The tritone offers the most opportunities for strict mirroring of all the possible intervals. The added whole-step is interpolated rather than used directly. That is to say, the whole-steps appear between the figures rather than inside them. This usage is apparent right from the opening phrase. Naturally, with the tritone being featured, there is a bit of Sturm und Drang here, with some dom7 b5 arpeggios roaring through the middle of the piece. They are not as hard to play as they might seem as first. The mood of this piece is, naturally, unsettled and restless throughout. Many of the pieces in this set of 25 are easier to play than they are to read. A few are not, so, if you are indeed looking for true technical challenges, they DO await you!
