Product Description

Arranged for wind quintet with clarinet in A

(alternative clarinet in Bb is provided)

The Carmen Suites are two suites of orchestral music drawn from the music of Georges Bizet's 1875 opera Carmen and compiled posthumously by his friend Ernest Guiraud. They adhere very closely to Bizet's orchestration.

This is no 5 which is the Finale/Final movt. from Suite No. 1

It contains 2 well known tunes, the first of which appears in the opera as the Overture/Ouverture.

They are: Les Toréadors: Theme from Prelude to Act I and Procession of the Toreadors from Act IV: Les voici! voici la quadrille des Toreros!.

To add to the confusion the title on the orchestral score of the suite shows Prelude, the orchestral parts show Les Toreadors and the piano arrangement Finale!!

You may well find arrangements by other people under either name.
