Arranged wind quintet with clarinet In A. (Bb clt provided)
i have attempted to give the bassoonist a breather from the relentless repetitive rhythm by giving it to the clarinet for some of the time.
The trumpet melody is given, in the main, to the oboe.
I have NOT written it tutti throughout, unlike other arrangements you may find.
Enjoy!
The Carmen Suites are two suites of orchestral music drawn from the music of Georges Bizet's 1875 opera Carmen and compiled posthumously by his friend Ernest Guiraud. They adhere very closely to Bizet's orchestration.
This is the famous Habanera from Suite 2
Act I, Aria (Carmen): L'amour est un oiseau rebel
Check out my arrangement of the Séguedille: Act I, Seguidilla (Carmen): Près des remparts de Séville (also for wind quintet)
