Coleridge-Taylors colorful setting of "Good King Wenceslas" and "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" adds a creative and exciting work to the holiday season. Born of an African father, he was an early 20th century prominent English composer, conductor and influential advocate for Black composers. The brass quintet is scored for two B-flat trumpets with alternate C trumpet parts, horn in F with alternate flugelhorn part, trombone with alternate horn part, and tuba. The recording is of the entire edition.
