Natalie Brynne
Natalie Brynne has played piano for 40+ years, taught piano for 22+ years, and is the creator of "The Piano with Ease" method.
The Story of how "PWE" came about:
Natalie noticed a growing problem: her students (especilaly adults) were becoming more and more time-strapped, leading to limited practice and discouragement- because on average, they were only learning a few new songs a year (due to all that has to be memorized and internalized, in order to successfully read traditional sheet music.)
She also consistently heard adults (who had years of piano lessons in the past) say that they still couldn't sit down and play anything, due to forgetting much of what was involved in reading traditional music.
She wanted to help her students (and anyone else who yearns to play the piano) experience the joy and peace that playing the piano brings, so she kept asking herself, "Isn't the point to actually enjoy playing, whether students have become an expert at reading music or not? How can I help them do this in less time?"
So, she tested and refined her 5-Stage "Piano with Ease" Course and materials (tools and special sheet music), which consistently allowed students to play songs easier and in a fraction of the time that it would have taken to play the same song from traditional sheet music.
How? Because in "Piano with Ease" music, what students usually have to memorize is already on the page in front of them as special visuals, which helps them to self-correct and make progress, without always having to wait for a teacher to correct/ remind them of what to do.
Examples: Every fingering is marked, note letter names are added (in Stage 2 and up), we use chords or chord patterns instead of having to read a left-hand part (in Stages 1-4; Stage 5 shows the notes in both hands), each black note is marked, special visuals mark each beat, it's clear when to move your hand position, repeats/ coda systems/ etc. have their own visual reminders, and much more.)
So, enjoy playing with more ease than you may have imagined possible... and let me know what you think, or what songs you would love to see created! (Send an email to: info@pianowithease.com)
