This is an invaluable resource for a thrilling Christmas concert or for church use. 1) Come, O come, Emmanuel (Veni Emmanuel); 2) Praetorius, Quem pastores in its rare original form, played antiphonally with Nunc angelorum gloria hominibus...; 3) Praetorius, Es ist ein ros' entsprungen; 4) Melchior Vulpius, Es ist ein ros' entsprungen (canon, based on Praetorius's harmonies); 5) Praetorius, In dulci jubilo for 6 voices. This last is arranged from his exciting 11-part version of 1619. Voicing is for a minimum of 6 instruments, but as many as possible can be added, and for the last piece, add drums, cymbals, or whatever you can to maximise the jubilant noise.
