Product Description

O Clap Your Hands (Anthem for eight voices) by Orlando Gibbons (1583-1625).
Gibbons was perhaps the most famous English composer in the years after Byrd and before Purcell.
O Clap Your Hands, written in 1622, is one of the most famous vocal works by Orlando Gibbons, along with This is the Record of John and the madrigal The Silver Swan. It fits very well on recorders, after a transposition up a tone. Three years after writing this anthem, Gibbons died suddenly probably from a brain haemorrhage at the age of 41. Descant 1&2, Treble 1&2, Tenor 1&2, Bass 1&2.

Duration: 4:28
