Apparently Authentic Version
Review by Ben R. on 23 Oct 2024 review stating Die With A Smile - Piano/Vocal/Guitar
With so many emasculated "Easy Play" piano versions it is good to find what may well be the composer's own piano version. As well as being a composer and arranger, Mancini was both a flautist and a pianist, and this version seems to be the sort of score that a professional pianist might well play, with its rippling quaver motifs in the middle parts, and it several delightful harmonic nuances,
and also nuances of dynamics. I suspect also that the key is also authentic (D flat major, rather than C major).
I have had great pleasure in now arranging it for pipe organ.
