Product Description

For recorder quartet Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass.
Composed 2012 with minor revisions in 2013 and 2015.
Duration 1:20 approx. (1:50 if the D.S. instruction is observed).

Notes marked flz. may be played flutter-tongue with an overblown effect, and/or with a vocalisation effect ad lib.

The D.S. al Fine instruction is optional. If observed, go back to the sign at rehearsal letter C and continue at Presto tempo. Do not play the 1st time at bar 27, ignore the rit., Andante and accel. markings and continue instead at the same Presto tempo, observing the instruction to play three times at bar 31, and finish the end of bar 36.

Programme note:
Leoš Janáček composed the 15 Moravian Folksongs for solo piano around 1922. This is a 'spotted' version of number 11 for recorder quartet where both the melody and accompaniment have been altered to form the basis of a new composition.
