Product Description

"The Faunes and Satirs tripping" is a five-part madrigal by Thomas Tomkins (1572 1656), a prominent member of the English Madrigal School. Adapted for SSATB recorders from a facsimile of Madrigals: The Triumphs of Oriana (1601) which honors Queen Elizabeth I. Fauns, Satyrs, and Nymphs present the Queen with gifts and pray that her life, wealth and fame be eternal.

Score and individual parts, plus notes with lyrics. Good for recorder orchestras, workshops and recorder society meetings. Can be played by ensembles without a conductor.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
