This challenging and dynamic setting of Franz Schubert's "Presto," mvmt IV from his String Quartet No. 14, "Death and the Maiden," is perfect for recitals, background dinner music gigs, weddings, educational outreach, and formal events. The arrangement was written for most advanced ensembles, from college groups to professional quintets. It's important to exaggerate all articulations and dynamics in this piece--it's full of contrasts and quick changes in style. I have included an alternate bass clarinet part in lieu of a missing bassoon. Originally scored for strings, I hope you enjoy this unique setting for winds.
