Product Description

Timbral Timbres explores the wide palette of colors possible on the cello and all played on the G natural which sounds throughout the piece. A companion piece to Sound Silences, Timbral Timbres shows the other side of the world, constant sound with an infinite array of tone colors. The work was written in 2002 for Marc Benyahia-Kouider, French cellist and professor at the Poitiers Conservatory. The duration is 3'20.
Timbral Timbres was premiered by the CNR Cello Ensemble conducted by Marc Benyhia-Kouider at the CNR in Poitiers, France on March 22, 2003.
