This work, in three movements uses the instruments in their habitual manner but also as providing varied timbres of sounds by removing the mouthpieces and playing only with air sounds, or in the case of the strings, playing gently on the body of the instrument. There are dynamic rapid passages, long sustained hymn like passages and much dialogue between the instruments and the families of instruments. The slow movement incorporates the use of subtle quarter-tones. The work culminates in a virtuoso flourish. The duration is 9 minutes. This is a manuscript score, thus the reduced price.
