This arrangement is part of the Chicago Gargoyle Brass and Organ Ensemble Signature Series.

Holst skillfully weaves together traditional carols, sometimes layering one carol on top of another. Good Christian Men Rejoice, God Rest You Merry Gentlemen, Come Ye Lofty Come Ye Lowly and The First Noel. Holst originally wrote the work for chorus and orchestra, but he stated that it could be performed with almost any combination of instruments. In this arrangement, organ and brass replace the orchestra. This arrangement is suitable for a concert or church service.
