Product Description
Originally part of Griegs Lyric Pieces (Book 5, Op. 54), March of the Trolls is a vivid and playful piano piece that captures the mischievous energy of Norwegian folklore. In this orchestral arrangement, Griegs music paints a whimsical yet slightly ominous picture of trolls parading through the mountains. With driving rhythms, quirky melodies, and sudden dynamic shifts, the piece evokes both the charm and menace of these mythical creatures. Its a brilliant example of Griegs ability to blend nationalistic inspiration with Romantic expressiveness.
The String orchestra instrumentation is based on: 4 first violins, 4 second violins, 3 violas, 2 cellos and 1 double bass, however, it can be flexible to fit all size string orchestras.
