A beautiful, original, Christmas hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann Snowball below:
With shepherds sitting in the fields, Small lambs were
gathered round.
While keeping watch in dark of night Were mere
nocturnal sounds.
Expecting only stars to glow, Soon they were sore
afraid.
To their amazement, angels came; Rich choruses they
made.
The glory of the Lord displayed A brilliant light so
new.
An angel said, Fear not; Behold. Good tidings come to you.
For unto you is born this day The Savior of the world.
Great joy to all shall come; Be still. His love will be unfurled.
And this shall be a sign to you: The precious Babe will stay
Wrapped all in swaddling clothes and in A manger He
will lay.
The heavnly host praised God and said, All glory to
his name.
On earth have peace; good will toward men. For all He bravely came.
They went with haste to find the place Where Jesus was
asleep.
Then making known to all abroad The shepherds love
grew deep.
They were the first to hear that night Announcements
of his birth.
Round shepherds fields, with lambs so close,
Our Savior came to earth!
