Long ago and far away on a hill called Calvary,
Christ, the Son of God, was nailed, mocked in His last
agony,
Through His suffering deep and poignant, yet impossible for
us to see,
We are saved from sin and weakness; yet He did it just for
me.
Because all men are lost and fallen from Gods light and
majesty,
He became our Savior, Redeemer, every soul from death set
free.
For every sin, or woe, or anguish that plagues humanity,
His grace delivers every soul in mercy; still He did it just
for me.
If I repent and ask forgiveness in sincere humility,
Come to Him through binding covnants, grace is shared in
great mercy.
Now I bow in adoration, bending low on prayerful knees,
In gratitude with heartfelt love, to One who suffered just
for me.
