Bob Dylan, a 2016 Nobel prize for literature recipient, famously ignored it for a while. In that spirit, he is now and has been a major figure in the music world for decades. The song "Blowin in the Wind" was released in 1963 and if I may include something personal, his song had a positive impact on my world view as a young person at the time. For this setting for clarinet quartet, I chose to use an Afro Pop style. The bass part in particular is quite active! It is set for 2 Bb Clarinets, Alto Clarinet, and Bass Clarinet - with an alternate 3rd Bb Clarinet part provided if there is no alto. - John Gibson, arranger
