Product Description
This is one of my favorite Stevie Wonder songs. Written in 1979, and first performed in 1983, it includes what he calls environmental percussion, which were the sounds of crickets, birds, ocean waves, pebbles being dropped into water, etc. I remember being intrigued by these background sounds and thought it added quite a bit to the overall mood of the song.
This arrangement for clarinet choir is written for Eb (divisi), 3 Bb (divisi), alto (divisi), bass, and contrabass. There are 2 percussion parts: finger snaps and shaker. These parts are very simple, but important to re-create the same ambience as the original music does.
If your choir does not have a contrabass you can substitute it with another bass.
