Here is the full piano-vocal performance version of Stars of Evening, Softly Gleaming, a beautiful hymn written by Mary Bradford Whiting that features newly composed music. It is part of my Evensong album, and includes optional harmonies and all the full descants notated as heard in the recording, in case you have enough soloists to add a few soaring melody lines to supplement the rest of the group.

The beautifully flowing piano arrangement features a simple, lilting 6/8 feel to add to the lullaby feel as well as recall the hope and happiness we find through the peace of God. It has suitable lyrics for an evening service or funeral, a sober but uplifting piece that will be a blessing to many.
