Product Description

Liebesleid (Loves Sorrow) is one of the three short pieces of Alt-Weiner Tanzweisen (Old Viennese Melodies in German) written by Fritz Kreisler. It is not known when they were written only that they were published in 1905. Since then Liebeslied has evolved from a simple romantic song of the homeland to an old Viennese tour-de-force for the piano arranged by Rachmaninoff, to a piece by the first boy-band Comedian Harmonists sung during the Nazi up-rising, to the intimate setting of the cabaret stage. This arrangement is scored for 4-part SATB ensemble with piano accompaniment. The lyrics are in German. Performance time: 3:15.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
