Product Description

This is the second piece that makes up Animals of Power, an American series for solo harp, a tribute to the native peoples of America in their view of the sacred power of animals. I wrote a poem for each of the works.
This animal has the gift of resurrection since, as an adult, it retreats to a mountain refuge to pluck its aged beak and feathers in a ritual that lasts about 150 days and thus manages to live another thirty years. Flying high in the sky, it is considered a deity in direct communication with the sun god. Through this contact with heaven and earth, it teaches us that we must remain focused and practical without forgetting that there are things that we cannot see and that we must go and look for. The name of the work is due to the fact that the eagles feather is used in shamanic rituals to cleanse impurities from those seeking healing.
Introductory poem: feathered eagle, deity of resurrection, how have you been able to heal yourself without giving in to pain? courage is freedom. be a visionary of the americas heaven inhabits your land, show me the way to the great spirit

Recorded at Bruslerías Estudios (Patagonia Argentina). Technique: Marcos Vidal. Mixing and mastering: Constanza Sánchez (Buenos Aires). Performer: Mara Diniello. Musical Direction: María Suárez. Year: 2021.
