This work derives material from the first 'Alla Campana' piece, also available via SMP. Alla Campana II is flexibly scored in up to 5 instrumental parts and consists of a sequence of related bell-like tones. It was originally conceived for outdoor performance and can serve as a fanfare-type work. There is further flexibility in the number of repetitions performers choose to make, and whether to be spatially separated or not. There is also choice concerning whether to follow the suggested procedure of varying cumulative combinations of parts, on each repeat, thus resulting in a textural increase throughout the performance. This PDF document is the full playing score, given in several transposed versions, as may be required.
