St. Anne's Reel is currently recognized as an old-time, bluegrass, New England and French-Canadian tune with many variations played on a number of instruments including the fiddle, mandolin, and penny whistle. It is arranged here for an Easy Intermediate fiddler, violinist, or mandolin player. It contains three variations played by West Virginia Fiddler Sandy Mcintire, starting with the simplest of versions, followed by a more elaborate, "notey" version, and a final variation using double-stops or drones. It is included in the Mountain Mommas Fiddle Tune series. Other tunes in the series include "Whiskey Before Breakfast" and "Life Is Like a Mountain Railroad."
