Jasper County is a 6 page advanced intermediate level piece in the key of D major. It is from my album 'The Open Road', a collection of 14 of my solo piano compositions. My hometown of Joplin, Missouri is located within two counties in that state, Jasper and Newton. Though I was born in a hospital in Newton County, Jasper County is the one that borders Galena, Kansas, the town in which I spent the first five years of my life. This is a musical whimsy about this place.
