Product Description
Amory Suite is a four movement tone poem, based on Amory Park & Hall's Pond Sanctuary in Brookline, Massachusetts. The original main theme, "Oaks of Amory," is introduces each movement on the piano, in the place of the listener, arriving at the next section of the park.
Movement I: The Fields highlights the joggers, dog-walkers, couples on benches, and people at play, each at their own pace.
Movement II: Hall's Pond celebrates the tranquil pond sanctuary, with waterfowl, owls, and turtles.
Movement III: The Temple begins with a procession of small fauna: squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, and a racoon. They lead to Amory Park's small, neoclassical gazebo, where they dance a minuet, and then scatter.
Movement IV: The Oaks of Amory follows along the promenade of enormous oak trees that dominates the west hill of the park, leading to a grand finale.
