Product Description

This piece of music is composed for solo violin. This piece is atonal and has no reference to any particular key. The asymmetric symmetry can be revealed in a more visual way by setting the time signature to a four-four meter. Converting a series of decimal numbers to their representative binary form, relating this binary form to notes in the chromatic scale, and using modular arithmetic to control the note structure creates this piece of music. In this case, (mod 12) is used because there are 12 notes in the chromatic scale. It is quite interesting that relating a binary form to the chromatic scale can create this type of order. The difficulty of this piece is classified as: easy to intermediate. Two pages in length and contains 54 bars of notation. The sound is a bit bit-like with a fascinating structure of tone. Please enjoy playing this composition for solo violin. Sincerely, Gershon Wolfe, Ph.D.
