Night Song is a German folk song. This is a xylophone/glockenspiel arrangement with some vocals and a piano accompaniment, which should be played by the teacher. Feel free to use any pitched, barred percussions instruments you have. It is 68 measures, and is a little over 3 minutes long, which makes it a good performance piece. The vocals are simple two-part harmony or can be sung unison. You can use all of this arrangement, or parts of it depending on your needs. Each part on its own is simple and repetitive (which is good for younger musicians), but when put together with the other parts weaves a beautiful musical tapestry. You can modify it based on your needs for second, third, fourth, fifth, or sixth grade in a public classroom setting.
