Product Description

These three dances from the renaissance period showcase the best music from the period. They are scored simply but sound great, the perfect addition to any wind quintet's repertoire! The PDF download includes a full score and parts for Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Horn in F and Bassoon.

La Mourisque by Tielman (or Tylman) Susato is possibly the most famous piece of music from the period. It is light and fast, and is instantly recognisable. Pavane by Thoinot Arbeau is an instrumental setting of the choral pavane Belle qui tiens ma vie. The final piece is a Volte by Michael Praetorius, an exciting dance with hemiola effects, and a rousing way to end the set!
