Composed for the dedication of the Theater in der Josefstadt in 1822, Consecration of the House is the perfect piece for building and wing dedications as well as a stand-alone concert piece. Influenced by Beethovens prior reexamination of Bach and Handel, The work is contrapuntal in nature ending with a rousing fugue.


Arranged for string orchestra and retaining all the original parts, this is an excellent piece for advanced students.
