This arrangement of "It Is Well with My Soul" for SAB Choir with piano accompaniment begins in the first verse with peace and calm contentment. It becomes mournful in the second verse and soars into an uplifting and joyful third verse and hopeful ending.

The arrangement conveys the text written by Horatio Spafford in 1873. His life had seen much trouble including business losses and losing his 4 year old son to scarlet fever. At the time this hymn was written, he had just lost his four daughters in a tragic accident at sea. In the midst of his pain, he was able to find comfort in his faith in God's love.
