Product Description

The carols in this collection were arranged over a period of about 20 years from the mid 90s to 2015. Many were intended for my personal voice students. Others were re-arranged from choral arrangements written during the same time period. The common thread is to provide interesting arrangements of the carols, some familiar, others less so, for singers of a variety of skill levels. Many of the carols have original texts in addition to the English translation. All are available separately or in choral settings in a variety of voicings. This volume is for medium-high voices. To hear the audio files, go to the individual location of each carol. The carols included here are: Away in a Manger (Kirkpatrick); Bethlehem (French); Bring a Torch, Jeannette, Isabella (French); Coventry Carol (English); The Cradle (Austrian); God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen (English); He Is Born (French); The Holly and the Ivy (English); How Brightly Beams the Morning Star (German); Jesus, Jesus, Rest Your Head (American); Joseph Dearest, Joseph Mine (German); Lo, How a Rose Eer Blooming (Praetorius); Lute Book Lullaby (English); Mid Ox and Ass (French); My Dancing Day (English); Patapan (French); Silent Night (Gruber); Wassail Song (English); Welcome Now the Winter Morn (Spanish); When Christ, Our Lord, Was Born (Italian); What Shall I Give to the Child in the Manger? (Spanish); What Child Is This? (English); and Rocking (Czech).
