An original hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann Snowball below:
When Jesus taught the
multitudes So many gathered round.
But I had sinned and
was afraid To hear his uttered sounds.
I only wanted, just one
time, To look upon his form,
So I hid quietly and
watched One very early morn.
At first He did not see
me there; The crowd had joined en masse.
But soon He looked
right in my eyes; His care I could not pass.
How could it be? He caught my glance And I could only see,
As I looked in his
tender eyes, Love focused right at me.
Then, never to adjust my
stare Became my earnest plea.
As I returned his
precious gaze I felt that I was free.
My heart no longer
wanted sin; His love was all I knew.
His piercing, but so
gentle eyes Were all I had to view.
To me it was a miracle
That I was singled out!
I know his love is his
great gift; Of this I have no doubt.
Forever I will look to
him; He lives eternally.
The love He spills to
you and me Is ours because He sees!
