Gloria is written for two parts--S. and A. combined and T. and B., piano and baritone solo. The music is based upon the technique of canonic sequence (invertible counterpoint) in a fast tempo. The voices sing through fast passages by using glissando or portamento technique; the notes are articulated by the piano that doubles these passages.
