Red Rag is a fun and original piece written in a Ragtime style by David McKeown for Double Reed trio. The pdf file contains the score, separate parts for two Oboes and one Cor Anglais (or English Horn), and also alternative parts for a third Oboe and Bassoon. There are chord symbols in concert pitch on the score for additional accompaniment on piano, bass or guitar.

Red Rag is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above. The key and range are accessible and there are some simple syncopated rhythms and accidentals. With a playing-time of around two minutes, Red Rag is a perfect upbeat addition to any performance program, formal or informal.
