Product Description

This track was originally released by Cobblestone and later by Muse in1997 as Footprints. It is Pat Martino's first tribute to his mentor Wes Montgomery. He did another tribute called Remember: A Tribute to Wes Montgomery in 2006 on the Blue Note label. The recording includes six selections (mostly standards): "The Visit" (a bluesy original), "What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life?", "Road Song" (a Wes Montgomery composition), "Footprints", "How Insensitive", and "Alone Together". "Footprints" is a jazz standard composed by saxophonist Wayne Shorter and first recorded for his album Adam's Apple in 1966. The first commercial release of the song was a different recording on the Miles Davis album Miles Smiles recorded later in 1966 but released earlier. It has become a jazz standard.
