Product Description

Andante cantabile in F Minor. Score: 4 pages. Duration: 6:55

Domenico Scarlatti was an Italian composer who lived during the Baroque period (1685-1757). He was born in Naples, the son of the famous composer Alessandro Scarlatti. He began his career as a musician at the court of the Portuguese Viceroy in Lisbon, where he wrote a large number of operas, oratorios, and cantatas. Scarlatti was also an accomplished keyboardist and wrote a large number of keyboard sonatas, which are some of his most famous works. His keyboard sonatas are known for their unique and intricate melodic patterns, often with wide leaps and rapid shifts in tonality. Scarlatti is considered to be one of the greatest composers of the Baroque period, and his influence can be seen in the works of many later composers, such as Mozart and Beethoven.
