Product Description
Loch Earn is a reel written by performer,
composer and music publisher Nathaniel Gow (1763 1831), fourth son of
acclaimed Perthshire fiddler Niel Gow. This arrangement for double reed duo of oboe and bassoon has been classed as 'intermediate' standard but, for those who would prefer to increase the difficulty, the answer is to play it faster!!
Loch Earn
itself is a Scottish fresh water loch, approximately six and a half miles long,
which lies within the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The area around the loch is home to a wide
variety of wildlife, including kingfishers, osprey, red kites, red deer,
mountain hare and wild goats. Loch Earn is
used extensively for fishing and assorted water-sports activities.
