Product Description

Inspire your congregation or audience with this majestic and flexible arrangement of the Christmas hymn "A Great and Mighty Wonder" (ES IST EIN ROS ENTSPRUNGEN).It can also be sung to the carol "Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming." Designed to involve all ages and levels, this arrangement includes parts accessible to beginning musicians, but is also interesting and challenging for intermediate and advanced players. First the melody is provided so that instruments can at any time play the melody alone or together. A standard four-part harmonization (Setting A) and two variations (Settings B and C) follow. Based on the standard harmonization, the variations provide alternate voicings, fanfares, and descants that will lift congregational singing. The arrangement can also be played alone. It is part of the series Festive Hymn Arrangements for the Divine Service. The audio sample features Settings A, B, and C. For more music and information, visit www.jubalslyre.com/music.
