Cast into three rousing movements, the Fanfare is a celebration of the resurrection. The Fugue recounts the joys and struggles of the church on earth. In the final movement the Church Militant and the Church Triumphant join together in song. The work may be performed by brass alone or with organ. A choir and/or congregation may join in singing the final movement. The French Horn 1 part may be played by a trumpet and the Euphonium part may be played by a trombone or bass trombone.
