This beautiful traditional hymn has been spread through all ages and loved by all Christians. Now with the new arrangements Rev.Chien wrote for choir,  it shows a different style.  Especially in the middle part, Rev. Chien added a new melody that cleverly and vividly describe the scene of walking through the valley of the shadow of the death.  His arrangement for the last part is wonderful too, bringing out the deep feel of comfort and peace in the presence of Lord. Rev. Chien has won the Japanese NHK International Composing Competition.  He has strong and solid theory of Western traditional music and good at adding a flavor of oriental mystery to his music,  so his music pieces are particularly charming and have a unique style that differentiates him from ordinary composers.   Anyone who has sung his songs will fall in love with his music .
