This arrangement of "Veracruz," a traditional Mexican tune, evokes the lively atmosphere of a cafe combo.  "Veracruz" can be performed on two marimbas with two players on each instrument, or may be easily expanded to more players by doubling parts.  The drum set part is a cumbia groove. This arrangement is a favorite with student performers and audiences in Western New York, where "La Marimba" frequently delights audiences.
