Liz Garnett

Dr Liz Garnett specialises in a cappella close-harmony arranging. She studied music at the universities of Bristol (BAHons) and Southampton (PhD). Prior to going freelance in 2009, she worked in the Conservatoire sector teaching music history, music theory and practical musicianship, and wrote books on both barbershop and choral conducting. 

Liz is one of the arrangers interviewed in the Barbershop Harmony Society's Visions of Excellence, Volume 3 of the new Arranging Manual. Her arrangements are crafted to be intuitively singable, allowing performers to sing freely and connect with their audiences.
