I started playing the violin at school when I was 8 years old.  Aged 11, I knew that I wanted to be a musician and music educator.  I've been very lucky to have followed my dreams and work within music education.

Over the years I have had the pleasure of working as a string teacher, a primary and secondary teacher as well as managing East Ayrshire Music Service.

Currently, I am a freelance musician and education consultant helping arts organisations develop music programmes and securing funding. 

Composing and arranging music has always been a passion of mine.  Like most musicians, I've spent a great deal of time writing for my own pupils and music groups.
