The Fragrance of Purple Rosy is inspired by the Sonnett 123 composed by Liszt. I practiced the sonnet 123 a few years ago and the beauty of the music fascinated me, which brings up the colors in the ways of delicate, intimate, and the subtle change of shades. The music always reflects in colors in my brain. The Sonnet 123 rounds up in purple rosy. I decided to write a duet sharing the same color for praising sonnet 123. The music is expressed in my own way. Also, I wanted to start the music in a way of most straight-forward, therefore the first subject entered as a 4-note broken chord. The short introduction is written in triplets for the purpose of giving a salute to Liszt, which shares the same rhythmic pattern of the introduction of Sonnet 123.
