This is a traditional Christmas carol about the scene of the birth of Jesus: the cold night, the mother with her baby, and the angels singing. It starts soft and still, grows to a burst of light, and then ends gently and, well, still. Difficulty level 3.5. Except for the first verse, the melody is in the second tenor or lead voice, much like the tradition in barbershop singing. However, this arrangement would not be appropriate for a barbershop contest.
