The Moon is a highly descriptive and expressive vocal work suitable for any age.  It features an extended range and much word painting; the voice gradually and sequentially rises higher to represent the rising of the moon in verse 1 and the sun in verse 2. The minor key at the opening represents the darkness of the moon and the dark things of the night; the major key in the second section represents all the bright things that live in the day.


The Moon is an excellent educational work as well as being especially suitable for recitals, concerts, festivals and competitions.  It would also make an excellent unison piece for choir.
