Product Description

Written by John Deacon, Queens bass guitarist, I Want to Break Free was a single from the 1984 Queen album THE WORKS. The song is best known for its video, in which all the band members dress up in womens clothing as a parody of the long running British TV show, CORONATION STREET. It was considered controversial and banned from MTV in the US, but in the UK, Europe and South America is was a huge hit, viewed as an anthem of fight against oppression. This uncomplicated, fun arrangement is mostly in two parts, with accessible vocal ranges for most choirs. The 5-piece accompaniment (available separately) includes two synths, giving it a true '80s synth-pop groove.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
