This contains music in several styles, both slow and lively, for solo alpenhorn and orchestra. A piano is included in the orchestra, but if not available, other instruments are provided with cues for the piano passages. It was written to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the San Francisco Civic Symphony, the oldest community orchestra on the West Coast. There were three performances in 2006, the anniversary year - two indoor and one outdoor. A piano reduction of the orchestra accompaniment is provided here and is also sold separately with the solo part for $5.00. Duration: 6 or 8 minutes, depending on whether an optional repeat is taken.
