William Hawley's Sappho Songs for Mezzo-Soprano and Orchestra were composed for the Mezzo Kimball Wheeler, and premiered by her with Jorge Mester conducting the Aspen Chamber Symphony in the Music Tent of the Aspen Music Festival, 1987.
This download is the complete Set of original Orchestral Parts, in ms, which were used in the World Premiere Performance. The PDF file is formatted for printing on 9" X 12" Concert Size paper, but may readily be printed at 8 1/2" X 11" by selecting "Fit" or "Shrink oversize pages" in the Print dialog of Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Reader, or other PDF application.
